2 Years! Yay!

Today marks two years I have been married to the most wonderful man alive!  I can't believe that it has already been TWO YEARS! God is so amazing in all He has done and is continuing to do in our lives.  It seems like just yesterday I was meeting this outgoing, crazy man....now I've had the honor and privilege of calling him my husband for this long.  We have learned so much about each other, ourselves, and how the Lord uses us in one another's lives...Jeff has been such a solid reflection of how Christ loves his church.  The point of any marriage is to honor and glorify God GREATER by being together.  I have been deeply touched the way he has lead our family, worked hard, and consistently loved me through all walks of life.

Happy December 19th everyone! It is certainly forever marked in my heart!

Debuting my Siesta!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have the privilege of bragging on my wonderful sister, Lola (probably know to you as Laura).  As those of you who know much about my family, we're musically obsessed.  My mom has a Masters degree in Music Therapy.  My dad has sang his whole life, and particularly loves barbershop music (heehee).  I like to sing and play the piano, and Lola and our youngest sister Madelyn sing and play the piano.  Well, Lola has always had a beautiful voice, but I am proud to show you a recording she did of herself singing.  I am so proud to call her my sister, and to see how her voice has grown and matured.  We both endured hard criticism along with positive encouragement growing up, and a favorite memory I'll always treasure is singing with my sister.  We have sung in front of people our whole lives, but I don't think I would be out of line saying, not until the past few years, have we become more confident in this area.  So, it is my pleasure to introduce, one of the most beautiful voices I know: Laura Jeanette Kampfe singing Adele's "Make You Feel My Love".

Pray for Lauren Scruggs

Hello bloggers,

Unfortunately, today I greet you with tragic news and an urgent request for immense prayer.  A girl that Jeff knows from high school and from when he was a part of Prestonwood Baptist Church's youth group was in a severe accident on Saturday, December 3rd.  She was injured after accidentally walking into the propeller of a small plane after viewing Christmas lights over Dallas.  I have attached a link below from ABC news.  Although I have personally never met Lauren, I've heard nothing but wonderful things about her.  Please be covering her with intentional prayer as she faces this road to recovery.

Burlap....yes please!

So, I know MANY of us are addicted to pinterest....who couldn't be?! It's such a plethora of cute ideas ranging from fashion to DIY projects to awesome decor--it's official, I'm obsessed!  I did my first pinterest project today: Burlap Place Mats!  Sooooo simple, inexpensive, and nifty!

What I did:
  1. Cut 14" x 18" sections of burlap (I did six).
  2. Print out the words with the font you want on card stock ( I did fonts for peas "Pea Annie" in 144 size)
  3. Place the card stock underneath each section of burlap.
  4. Use a MEDIUM point PAINT PEN and trace each word onto the burlap
  5. Voila! Enjoy your beautiful, chic place mats!
Next project from pinterest planned: Adorable picture frame Christmas wreath (check out one of my BFF's, Cari's blog to catch a peek of her wreath--adorable)  Super excited!  Hopefully I'll be getting my list of DIY projects done this weekend.  Ahhhhh....love!
